A first early variety having high tolerance to environmental stress and mechanical damage. Adora retains a bright skin finish and is noted for after harvest conditioning in warm climates and low cullage during washing, grading and transport.
Round to Oval shape, shallow eyes, very bright clear skin. Good keeper, a long dormancy offers good storage capabilities.
Adora will emerge rapidly and will quickly develop a ground covering foliage. A determinate variety, senescence occurs approx. 80 days after emergence.
Resistant to Golden nematodes. Slightly susceptible to common scab, moderately susceptible to silver scurf: be sure the storage remains dry, avoid free moisture and keep the potatoes at a constant temperature.
Noted for excellent table quality, maintains color after cooking, low dry matter content. Retailers report, "consumers return to the store looking for these tasty potatoes."
