Two Red River Valley potato companies came together this week with the announcement Tuesday by the R.D. Offutt Co. that it was buying East Grand Forks’ Ryan Potato Co. Chairman and Founder Ron Offutt, who was travelling and not available for comment, praised the national reputation of Ryan Potato, known for its fleet of delivery trucks, in a press release issued by the company.
