HZPC Americas Corporation represents the new entity created from the successful merger of the world famous De ZPC BV and Hettema BV seed potato companies. These former companies, known on a global basis for excellence in the seed and table potato markets, collectively represent more than 170 years of operation in the potato seed industry. So in fact, this is a new company with a distinguished history.

New variety development was identified as essential for a company's future survival in the highly competitive potato market. Thus, the union of Hettema and ZPC strengthens a vigorous research and development program. This union permits HZPC to develop better varieties and enables HZPC to serve customers with potato varieties that will meet current and future market challenges.

HZPC Americas Corporation has undertaken an extensive program of variety trialing and introduction to most potato production regions of North America. The past number of seasons has seen the varieties Adora, Caesar, Divina, Fabula, Mondial, Morning Gold and Norvalley commercialized in major centers of production of North America. Emerging varieties from our research and collaborative efforts are now creating interest with table potato packers and processing companies.
